Home-Made Fabric Paper

Last night on the PaperArtsy blog there was a fab set of instructions on how to make this type of fabric paper, well I just had to give it a go.

To follow the method and instructions of Anneke De Clerk click on the link here.

Items Used

Paper Napkins and tissue paper
Matt Medium
White Kitchen Parchment
Fresco Chalk Acrylics in Nougat and Hint of Mint
Archival inks in Sepia and Watering Can
PaperArtsy Stamp sets ECL01 and Flora and Fauna 3
Inka Gold in platinum
Treasure Gold in Olive Bronze
Tim Holtz Remant Rubs - Life Quotes
Fine Black Micron Pen

I followed Annekes instructions completely and then once completely dry ( I left this over night and went back to it after work today) I added the Inka Gold and Treasure Gold and I was surprised how the paper stood up to the buffing of these waxes. Then played around adding swirls of black dots with the pen and finally added a few rub-on words.

I really like how the black and white medallion napkin melds into all the other  pieces of tissue.

It wasn't the easiest of things to photograph, but I hope you can get an idea of the colours and textures.

I am not sure what I shall use this for, maybe some bunting for a garden party we are holding in the summer for my in-laws joint 90th birthdays ! It will definitely be used for something as I am 'chuffed to bits' with it. So a big thank-you to Anneke for the idea and inspiration Jane x
